What type and brand do you own and how do you like it? If you were to buy another would choose a different model?

Someone suggested a latex topper in another thread which has me looking into latex mattresses for the last few days. I am 5'5" 125-155lbs (currently 130lbs), warm, side sleeper. The idea of a long lasting mattress that you don't sink into sounds good to me.

How does one know how many inches or layers of latex is needed for a body type and sleep type? How long does the wool batting last? Has anyone bought different firmnesses of mattress toppers (3" firm + 3" med. + 3" soft) and combined them to make your own mattress? It seems like you could save money if you could find a good padded cover.

The 12" model here seems really nice but it's pricey. I just wonder if it's overkill for a light person. https://www.plushbeds.com/products/the-botanical-bliss-organic-latex-mattress?variant=18770039144546

The 2 layer 9" here is a bargain in comparison. https://www.latexforless.com/products/natural-latex-mattress?variant=43120221388

Any suggestions, discussion or advice would be helpful.

I bought one after using a cheap, comfortable and way too damn hot foam one for a couple years. It’s been excellent, no deformation whatsoever and stays nice and cool. Couldn’t tell you what brand it is because I just went to the local furniture store (pre covid  ) and tried them out until I liked one.

Also bought latex pillows at the same time ... every other pillow is ruined for me now. They’re the same as they were on day one and don’t turn into a flat spot with two puffed up edges surrounding your head.

Good to hear you like your mattress and pillow. I went to a store this past week and they had zero latex mattresses or toppers to try. They sold tempur-pedic, sealy and stearns and foster.
