I just saw an ad for one for something like 8k for a brand new car. That is ridiculous. I wouldn't buy one as I like my Hondas, but I was just curious if anyone actually owned one.
Don't own a Rio but my wife has a 2002 Spectra (the next model up from the Rio). Pretty nice car, but nothing spectacular. Haven't had any problems with it so far and my wife is happy with it.
My boyfriend has a Kia Spectra. I think its nice and he hasn't had any problems with it. In my opinion if you're thinking about getting a Rio you should upgrade to Spectra instead. Rios look like sh!t!
Au contraire. The Rio starts at like $8-9K. Assuming you didn't get any bells and whistles, you could probably walk out of there for $10K after taxes and all that stuff. My wife's car started at $10+K but got up to about $12K after adding amenities like A/C and whatnot.
You're better off waiting until the end of the year, add another $3k and buy a Hyundai Elantra GLS for around $10,800 with power everything and cruise.
apoppin bought a barebones Kia Rio for $5,995 which took a lot of haggling and Elite Ferengi skills.
