My rebate was rejected on it and I need a serial number to validate it
I dont have the burner in my possession anymore
Thank you
Ricp

I need the serial number from the drive
I applied for a rebate on the drive and didnt realize I needed the serial number to get the rebate

no its not fraud
I bought the burner
I sent in the UPC code like any other rebate however cendyne requires the serial number
I dont have the burner anymore so I dont have access to the serial number to get the rebate validated and yes it does need to be one that hasnt been used in the past for a rebate

If you're sure it's not fruad, just call up the person who you sold it to.

agreed, but I would call it fraud 🙂

but seriously. If I, John Alexander the Third had a Cendyne burner with a valid unused serial, why wouldnt I claim the rebate rather than give it to you?

Why can't you contact the person you sold it to and ask them for the serial number? Tell them you will give them $5 if the rebate is accepted...

I did contact the person acually and they had already given the drive away as a gift
The promotion is from like 6 months ago
It was for Staples only so it would be worthless to anyone who didnt apply for the rebate 6 months ago -
When I sold the drive to the person they knew in advance that the UPC was removed

i don't think posting this request was a good idea. sure u r entitled to the rebate, but u don't have the serial number anymore. who's fault is that? and if someone else gives u a serial number on their drive so u can get the rebate... then i would assume this is fraud, becuz the serial number u want to give to cendyne is not from the drive u bought. doesn't that count as some sort of misrepresentation, or deception?
