i have a 91 LX wagon. the window does not flip up. the seats fold down, split 60/40. one plus is the rear-seat passengers get real headrests, which they don't get in the sedan. there is a lot of space, but not as much as a volvo wagon from the same era. for me, it was the best combination of utility, fun, and reputation for reliability in my price range. compared to a volvo, you get similar weight and power "on paper" but the honda is much faster and handles infinetly better. i bought it at 97K, and I've thrashed another 60K on it without any major issues. I've had to get some stuff replaced, such as the water pump, distributor, muffler/cat, and the A/C needed some work after 25K or so. but basically it has been solid, and who knows how it was treated before i bought it. if i had to go back in time, i'd buy it again. well actually, i'd have gotten the manual. but the auto in mine works just fine, and has a sport mode that vastly improves the shift points when you're driving hard in the twisties.
