Not sure what's more amusing, SandEagle's lack of job or DrPizza's lack of life  collecting all these quotes...

btw, I dont see anything wrong, I see a broke guy with no money trying to get credit to buy a state of the art TV! Isn't this what is country based on? people owning what they cant afford? It got us into the financial mess and I still get pamphlet in the mail saying "broke, bankrupt, no problem, we can get you a house with no money down..." We still help millions of lazy people who want to sit on their a$$e$ all day and drink beer with money that we do not have. We still dont want to stop outsourcing jobs to BRIC so that people who want to work can get a job, contributing to the country's economy.

So, while the country as a whole keeps borrowing money to no end that it can "NEVER" pay back, we beat up this humble ATOT neffer who is doing exactly the same thing... I find this the most amusing part of the thread.

And you being born in US definitely gives you the right to be the oblivious tunnel vision moron that you are. Enjoy your life while you still can.

I have one and didn't buy a 3D TV. I personally think it is a useless gimmick, but to each his own.

:confused:Click on [find all posts by] and you can collect the quotes in about 30 seconds. By the time I had posted that, with my "lack of life," I had done more this morning than you'll do all day. The air conditioner is in this room, so when I take a break from working to have a drink, I sit in here.

Applying for credit cards and getting denied stimulates the program that makes your credit score drop even further.

I have one (Samsung 52" LCD).
I spent $300 for 2 pairs of the glasses, used them a handful of times and had a hard time selling the glasses on ebay because there is so much competition trying to get rid of these things.

IMO it didn't look that great, for me or my wife, and our vision is fine. I can live without artificial depth to my movies.

the newer TVs use passive 3d technology so you can use any glasses, even the cheap theater ones, instead of getting tied down to the expensive ones that work only for certain manufacturers.
do you have. 3d bluray player? i suspect that most of the cool 3d stuff is on bluray only.

Not all of them, and there's still different types of passive 3d. Checkerboard vs. side by side and things like that.

I also prefer the active glasses to any passive set I've tried. Much clearer and full resolution.

Yeah I have a ps3, there are also some movies in 3d on time warner cable.

It's nice to see the new tech doesn't require expensive glasses. Nothing is worse than spending a lot of money on something and getting bored with it after a few uses.

went to Best Buy and they had a demo on a 55" LG 3d tv. i was expecting it to be so-so, but it literally blew my mind away. the 3d effects were better than a theater experience. i think it was the 3D Under the Sea demo. they also showed an NBA game in 3D. mind=blown. it felt like i was at the game. as soon as i get approved for a cc, i am so getting one.

And you are the same troll that has started numerous threads about your total lack of fiscal responsibility (aka not going to pay your (credit card) bills)? If you get approved for a cc then this just confirms how screwed up the credit rules are in this country.

... or you just be trolling again.

Checkerboard, Side-by-Side, Top-Bottom and Frame Packing aren't different types of passive 3D. The aforementioned methods are actually 3D transmission formats. Your TV/monitor/projector will accept this 3D transmission format and display the 3D to you in a passive or active way. I believe it's accurate to say that passive and active specifically refers to the device used between the screen and your eyes. Active requires the glasses to actively filter out content not meant to be seen by a certain eye. Passive uses display methods combined with glasses that always filter out to show a certain wavelength (I believe that's correct).

The section of the Wikipedia article on Passive 3D explains it a lot better than me:

Didn't you just swear off credit cards for life?

...which is a figurative expression.

if you want to toss "literally" in front of that, then you're talking about something else. (though you would never put literally in front of a figurative expression, anyway. ...unless you're an idiot)

if you have nothing positive to contribute, please refrain from commenting.

My positive contribution is that you shouldn't be getting a credit card and using it to purchase a $3000 TV when you just closed out a $10k credit card you couldn't afford and were thinking about defaulting on.

3DTV sucks ass, I have a Sony Bravia at just under 50in and it sucks as bad as it does in theaters, just a gimmick, and a shitty one at that

I don't mind 3D in my games but PLEASE keep it out of my movies! Granted I've only seen a few 3D films but it ads nothing to the experience IMHO. In fact it's a distraction. Besides it only applies to a limited subset of films anyway, Michael Bay type action flicks. No one wants to see the next Philip Seymour Hoffman film in 3D, at least I hope no one wants to.

In games I feel it does add another level of immersion though. I understand there is 3D porn too though :hmm:
