Anyone overclocking their Palm? How do you do an underscore in Graffiti? Someone must know!

I can't believe what a difference overclocking my Palm V has made. I have it running at a blistering 26mhz. :)

edit: Anyone know how to do an underscore in Graffiti? I can't find it in the manual.

42 MHz here :D

Ok, it's a visor platinum....

Most times I underclock it to save battery power... 20MHz normal mode, 10MHz E-Book-reading...for the Game Boy emulator I give it the turbo, he, he... ;)

At full speed it's 303% compared to the Palm IIIxe stock speed (quartus benchmark) => :D

I underclock for most things, keep the default speed for a few programs and overclock for the benchmark ;)

This is a palm m105

Battery life on my Palm V is excellent. :) My eyeball benchmark is a fireworks prog. It's noticeably faster with overclocking. I can't tell how much more of a difference Quickbits makes, but according to some posters at palmgear, it helps. I just may register my overclocking programs.

edit: What's the default speed for a Palm V? The unregistered version of Afterburner won't say.

Most of the Palm line uses the Motorola DragonBall 33MHz CPU... its about damn time they upgrade them to get into the multimedia sector

Heh, I just discovered the backlight on my Palm V. :) I bought it from a pawn shop for $100. I've just been browsing through the .pdf manual every now and then.

I'm using both of the following programs:
Afterburner
Quickbits

Here's a benchmark program: Quartus

I always use the keyboard for undersccore, never bother to find it. I tried Up and left or right but it doesn't work. I know dash: dot and horizontal to right. But not underscore.

I keep my IIIxe @ 32 and battery life is about 3 weeks of pretty solid usage. Have not tried it on my Vx yet because it doesn't lag like the IIIxe did. Now if I could just double my 1.3 tbird I'd be all set

Sure, an Ipaq can run at 236mhz, but my Palm V only cost $100. :)

not to start any pocketpc/palm religious wars here, but price isn't the only factor... you can't compare clock speed between the two because pocketpc programs/os use more resources anyways. there is a reason the specs are higher, because they need to be.

Heh, no kidding. Overclocking our PDA's is like when the 300A was out. 50% overclock or better. :)
