Just got my new syatem up and running. I've read alot of threads on people overclocking them to ti500 speeds. Is there anything I need to know before i bump it up some? What kind of increments should I use?
It looks like it's stock 175/401.
Also, since I do not run any benchmark prog's and I still haven't installed any games yet, will I really be able to tell any difference?
I am guessing No.
Are there any detailed guides out there showing steps to doing this and things to check (ie AGP voltages, etc.)?

EDIT:

i'm still using the drivers that came with it. Are there any other drivers out there that I should consider?

Don't bother, you have a great performer there running at stock speed, why stress your new card when the bennies will not be that significant. I upgraded to one from a leadtek tnt2 pro, nice jump in performance by the way. If you want bragging rights with your buddies, then have at it, otherwise go the mature route and leave it alone.

I am using the Nvidia Det Ver 2311 on mine and they seem to do real well on my latest games, such as RTCW, the Serious Sam demo [ you are gonna love this one, it really shows what this card can do, stock by the way ] and the Gore demo. My card is feeding a 1 gig PIII sys with 256 meg of SDram, the mobo is via so I installed the latest via 4 in 1 drivers and everything is smooth at AGP 4x. ronach

I just started bumping it up and running 3DMark2001. Once it locked up, I backed it off. If I remember right, I was at 240/535.

I thought to most people(myself included) overclocking is mostly just for fun. Really the only difference you might see that would matter is if you are able to bump up your settings in a game and still have it run stable. For example, if you can run at 1600x1200x32 with AA set to 2 samples at stock speeds then maybe when overclocked you can run it using quincuxx or 4 samples. But for most of us it's just fun to see our 3dmark scores go up:D. I think it's at least worth downloading and running, who knows you may enjoy it. For most of us it wouldn't matter all that much if our card dies because that would just give us a reason to go out and buy a new one:). But I haven't heard of anyone's card dying, I may be wrong though since I've only been on these forums for a few months. But I think I could safely say that it is very rare. My opinion on the ti 200 is why not overclock? considering you can go from stock to roughly 250/540ish. That's one hell of a boost if you ask me... And no you won't be able to tell a difference without any games or 3dmark. That's like upgraded from a 800 mhz cpu to 1.6 ghz on a computer that only runs office apps, no difference. Sorry for the long winded post:)

Well, I overclocked my 200T just to see how it'd do. I can get 230/530 with no lockups in 3DMark 2001. I tried pushin' it to 240 and 540 together and separately but got lockups so I just left it at 230/530.
