I've been wondering if the Phenom situation has gotten any better. The launch of B3 silicon and the SB750 seems promising, and I'm wondering if anyone is achieving decent overclocks.

Also, all the news seems to be about ATI chipsets lately. Is nvidia no longer overclockers choice? Has nvidia even made a new chipset in a while?

I don't have a Phenom but I've read that with the new AMD Southbridge you'll get a quite good overclock with the new 45nm Phenoms. About nVidia: you have to have a nVidia chipset like my Asus P5N-D (nForce 750i) to get SLI which is what I have. There seems to be problems with the high-end nForce 790i chipsets but I could be mistaken. About overclocking: I have an Intel E8400 overclocked to 3.81GHz (9x425) from 3.0Ghz (9x333) and I'm quite happy with this. People with 'better' mobos are getting 4.0Ghz+.:)

I have an X3 8650 running on a 780G mobo and am wondering what the new chipset can do. I would also like to find a simple guide for OCing Phenoms.
