I just got my dualmonitor setup, this past few days. I'm on an ATi 9600pro. 19" and 17" CRT monitors. I love it for all my desktop needs, photoshop, browsing, TV, AIM chat...it's all very usefull.

But one question.

How can I get it so I can use both screens when gaming? So the picture is across both monitors? When I use it like I have it (extension of the desktop) the game loads up on the primary screen, and I still have the desktop on the second monitor. This is usefull, but I'd like to see how it lookds if I can get the game on both, stretched across. I know I've seen it done before, but is there something special I have to do to get this? Thanks in advance!

i doubt this is possible for two limitations
1. the card... for an example of this if you have your desktop extended play a movie that is half in one screen and half in the other....
2. the game... i'm sure the game engine would need specific support for this...

Thanks, I wasn't sure... I've seen it before, though. LIke for Flight sims. Maybe that's what you are talking about.

Basically your second monitor becomes useless once you're in a fullscreen game. I haven't found a way around this, yet...but the game would definitely have to support using two monitors to play the game. I run 19" & 17" CRTs also, just on a Ti4400.

I think there's a way. I once had a browser window maximized and it was spanned across the 2 monitors. I'll try hooking up my other monitor. See if I can get fullscreen across
with a game.
OK for a windowed screen you need to install hydravision. Then in the hydravision properties under window control select max to full desktop. Make sure to click on load desktop manager
Then there will be an extra button next to the close, window, minimize buttons. Press it and the window should take up both monitors. If you run your game in windowed mode it maybe
possible to do it.

the Radeon series does not support 3d acceleration over 2 monitors. i'm sure the flight sims that have been seen played over more than one monitor was on a Matrox card. and running slowly.
