Anyone out there using SGI 1600 sw LCD panel?

I'm considering buying this monitor, but my concern is that my radeon ve card wont work. Please help with the following questions:

1. is there anyway to get the ve to do 1600 x 1024?
2. i can't even get the setting to do 1600 x 1200 as claimed by ATI. Does anyone know how to attain this resolution? I've tried display property but the most it'll do is 1240 x 1024.
3. does anyone out there run this at anything other than the native 1600x1024 mode? I know the multilink box can compensate, but I wonder how the result look.

I had a Radeon tweaking utility (can't remember the name of it now), but it could set up custom resolutions that aren't normally listed in Display Properties. 1600x1024 was one of the custom settings. This is on my Radeon SDR PCI, so I assume your VE should be able to do it, also. As to the other, I've not used one of the SGI monitors, so I can't specifically comment on that aspect of the question (although, of course, I'd get one if I had the budget for it .
