I have been using an MS 3.0 explorer for years, and I am afraid one of these days its time will be up. I have tried several Logitech mice (G5, MX-518, MX-1000, MX-700) and even a razer Diamonback but just can't get used to them. I think it is the palm grip that these have, I like using the MS because I can control it with my fingertips easily.

The above 3 lazer mice that I have tried I just couldn't seem to dial in to work satisfactorily, they seemed either too fast/slow and no amount of adjustments would make them suitable to my liking, and I always end up putting it aside and going back to my Explorer 3.0.

Anyone with the wired MS 6000 I would appreciate your comments on it, likes / dislikes.

thanks!

I have the wireless MS 6000 mouse and I love it. It takes a while to get used to holding it, though, because the thumb rest is a little different from the Explorer 2.0 (the last MS mouse i had before this one) because the it's a depression, rather then a channel that runs along the side of the mouse. IMO, it has perfect response and speed on the default settings.

Thanks Raduque, I appreciate your input. I pm'd a member on another forum who had it listed in his siggy, he also liked it all but one thing, the location of the button to his thumb. He told me he had read where MS was going to address this problem in their next mouse, I just may wait for it unless my Explorer 3.0 goes bad in the meantime.

This was brought to my attention, the A4 Tech 718 http://www.a4tech.com/en/product2.asp?CID=102&SCID=103&MNO=X-718 This may have some potential, but NE is out of stock on it now.
