Anyone on who knows anything about calculus?

Anyone know anything about calculus? It's first year, basic calc and I'm stumped.

First year? It's probably first or second order derivatives.

let's see.. it's about 1/3 way through the semester.. first year calc... must be at limits and stuff... you dont' get to derivatives till about half way.. then you spend hella time learning the long way, only to learn the short way in like 10 seconds... anyway.. post your question... lots of people here will help you... i included

Oh, and like someone else said, go ahead and post a question. At the worst nobody knows how to do it, but without putting the question in your post, you ensure that you won't get an answer to your problem.

Sounds like someone is an electrical engineer. I have the same calc background as you but I chose the ComSci route (I never really liked flip-flops, Schmitt, diagrams, etc...).

I took two Calc courses in university. All I remember is that the derivative of 4X^3 is 12X^2

That is all. They never even explained the point of derivatives. What a wonderful time I had.
