Hi All,
Have made a few posts on basic OC fun I am having and am wondering if anyone out there has practical experience of OC on the A64 x 2 4800 CPU?
I am a bit concerned that I am having to pump more volts than I would expect through VCore to hold a stable OC of 218 x 12 (1.40v) when stock is 200 x 12 at 1.34v?
On 5-10 minute Prime 95 tests I got the CPU up to 230 x 12 at 1.45v (with memory multi out of equation), so why am I still having issues with memory now back at full settings below with CPU at 218 x 12 and 1.4v?
Also I was very surprised last night that having set up 218 x 12 (1.4v), Hyper Transfer Frequency at 4, memory 1:1 (200) CL2-3-2-6-1T and having passed Prime 95 tests for 15 minutes plus, plus memtest tests 5/6, that the system hung on CPU part of 3DMark05 tests.
Why if Prime95 all OK would 3DMark05 hang on CPU tests, is this suggesting need for even higher volts?
Thanks for any advice.
