Wow. So I can only have my own opinion if it coincides with Obama's? Hey, Kool-Aid!

<<<-------------- Independant old school conservative

not too many conservatives... maybe any at all.

McCain- Not close not to mention just too angry.

Romney- Evangelicals think he is in a cult. I do to. Mormonism is isn't Christian it is wierd... Nice people though! ;)

Huckabee- Seems to like Mexicans crossing borders and staying here too much. If you have to say you are conservative many times you are not that conservative.

Thompson-Well I like him, just not alot. Little bit boring. Not to mention when his HOT wife keeps riding him, he might not last 4 years. :Q

Guilani- Kinda a prick and he is pro abortion, otherwise I think he'd run things well.

Dems-

Obama - Middle name is Hussien and really has no business to be in the U.S. senate. He won cause the dumbass GOP candidate running against him kept wanting to take his wife "7 of 9" or whatever (Jeri Ryan?) to sex clubs and swing. Obama ran unapposed for the senate after that. Too cocky. Speaks too well I want to buy some AMWAY!

Clinton- Dishonest socialist that cannot act for anything. "I DON"T WANT US TO GO BACKWARDS WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAA!" gimme a break your timing is so perfect that question was a plant just like most your N.H. crowds! Not to mention she owes too many favors to all the people that bought her off.

Hmm John Edwards- Puts his ambitions before his wifes health. Not to mention lawyers like him are what makes malpractice insurance so expensive as well as our helthcare.

Independant

Mayor Bloomburg gonna go run?- who cares

I really don't like McCain, Romney, Huckabee, Edwards, and Hillary. I reserve the right to not like any others in the future. :)

If only the health care issue existed in a vacuum. What kind of health care will be provided and who will end up paying for it? If the rest of our nation's economy goes into the squitter, it won't matter if we have a great plan for national health care if the populace can't fund it.

McCain, Paul, and Obama are the only ones I'd vote for at this point, and I don't think that'll change. If McCain or Paul don't get the nomination (Paul won't), I may just vote for my first Dem this cycle. Obama can't be worse than 43. I'd love to see Biden on the ticket with Obama though, not just because he's very experienced and both Houses support his Iraqi partition plan more than any other (because it's sensible and actually based in reality), but because his quips alone would be pure gold. OK, I'm kidding. ;)

Amazing you still think your posts have an effect on Paul supporters. Pretty sad.

Would prefer Kucinich, will probably get Hillary, Edwards, or Obama as my democratic choice. Of those three my preferences would be Edwards, Obama, Hillary in that order.

On the republican side, we are dealing with rancid garbage I would not vote for under any circumstances. With Ron Paul the most sane of the lot. But the probable choices are in genuine rancid garbage with Huckabee and McCain vs. the choice of totally PHONY rancid garbage with Romney and Giuliani. Given GWB&co came from the PHONY rancid garbage side of the GOP, if worse came to worst and national insanity does not abate, and we gasp get a GOP President in 08, give me some other GOP choice please.

And while we are at it, can we get some better democratic choices?

Why does this entire thread give me this vision of a giant candidate slot machine. We put our money in, pull the handle, some lemons, dummies, and idiots come up for an outcome, with revulsion at the outcome motivating it, we put more money into the slot machine, pull the lever, and get an equally unacceptable outcome, so we put more money into the slot machine.

Never realizing that the guy who puts the choices up makes his money by insuring that there is not an acceptable choice to be found.

I almost never really like any candidates...being a career politician almost always means I'm going to not like you. That being said there are degrees of dislike at work. Many have a lot of aspects I like, but usually something serious that prevents me from backing them. So what happens is I end up choosing the least offensive candidate, who usually isn't aligned with me on any topics.

How'd he do tonight anyways? First? Second? I missed it...

Do tell!

What does popular opinion have to do with my decision for a candidate? Or yours, for that matter?

no, genius. I meant that Obama appears to be the only candidate who has his own opinion on any issue. The rest of the Democrat field, especially Billary, appear to base their "opinions" on the polls and the daily political forecasts.

My guess? Billary hasn't had an original thought since birth -- she probably polled the Doctors to find out whether or not crying would be appropriate when she popped out! :D

You can have any opinion you want to have, but it would be nice to have a President that has his/her own opinion too. Deciding what to wear, based on the polls, is a sign that a person lacks integrity and character.

Is that what you want in the White House?

Hey, Obama can shoot hoops too.

There's something to be said for likeability.

Simply because they are Republican and Democratic politicians running for President, I do not like them.

Have been researching the Libertarian and Constitutional candidates and will probably vote for one of them, even though they won?t win because most Americans are insanely ignorant and think we only have two parties.

But like the last two elections, I'm not keen on what ideals the Democrats represent and absolutely detest most Republicans.
I can?t in good conscience vote for anyone savvy enough to get themselves put up for president. The very fact they made it up there tells me they are world-class Bullshit artists and shouldn?t be trusted.

EDIT:
And WhipperSnapper pretty much hit on the issues I care most about this election.
Some of them might say they will fix these things, but I know damn well once they get into office the things I care about will be put on the back burner, for 4 or 8 years.

Well then, genius, maybe you should go back to middle school and learn how write in the English language because that is not what your post said. When did it become socially acceptable to deride someone because they failed to see that your actual thought was completely different from what you actually said? Don't blame me for your idiocy. :cookie:

No, nor do I want Obama's opinions in the White House, since my opinions do not concur with his at all.

We are spending much more on healthcare than countries with universal healthcare systems and getting much worse results. Our nation can't afford to fund our ineffective healthcare system, especially companies that have to compete with overseas labor.

That was my opinion until Saturday, but McCain has been sinking quickly in my eyes. He was a total jackass during the ABC debate, and his Iraq stance is getting worse and worse.

McCain sunk with me a long time ago.

After McCain-Feingold, and the amnesty bullshit, I wouldn't vote for him. Even if Hillary were the other choice.

He's nothing but another sleazy, pandering politician who goes wherever the wind blows.

Part of the problem is in the question:

Anyone not like any of the candidates ?

I think the better question is , "Who can govern effectively from the White House?"

I don't want a President as my buddy. I don't have to 'like' the President. That said:

Cons: McCain, and McCain only. One term. I don't really like him but I respect him. And when he sucked up to the fundies a few years ago he lost a little of my respect. The rest of the Con candidates are gum on his shoes.

Libs: Clinton - basicly for the same reasons as McCain. Edwards a distant second - I think he by far is the most intelligent (which may not be the best of qualifications) and would direct the best cabinet. Think Paul Wellstone.

I'm not concerned w/ Obama per se. I'm more concerned with who would run his administration and who he would appoint to his cabinet. We need change and repair. I'm concerned his administration my try to 'reinvent' gov't.

Time has passed by: Colin Powell. That sum beach. Our nation's most qualified public servant forever tainted by the Bush Crime Cabal. There's alot to Powell I don't like but I would not question his ability to lead this country.

Al Gore. ^^^^^ See above.
