Anyone migrate from Opteron 146/148 to A64 X2?

I bought an Opteron 148 in December and I am running it at 2860 stock voltage.

The computer runs fine no gripes there, but for years I have wanted a dual processor system.

Have many of you migrated from single core Opteron to Dual Core A64 X2?

How do you like it? Any regrets?

It is either do this or get Conroe, but damn new mb, cpu and memory ugh!

Actually you'll want to move to the new standard so you'll have the ability to upgrade. I would recommend moving to the conroe if you do buy new stuff. As for your question I went from a 3500+ to a dc opteron 175 and yes I noticed about a 25% difference depending on what I was doing. Running multiple programs is much easier now especially while gaming.
