Anyone met someone who got fired from law enforcement for excessive use of force?

Only once for me. I was working for PayChex the payroll services company in 1995 as a computer operator. And a truck driver guy delivering boxes of paper and forms said he was formerly a police officer before the truck driving job. My supervisor asked him why he was in delivery instead of being in law enforcement.

And the driver said he was policing the riots in Detroit a long time ago and he got accused of excessive force dealing with the rioters and lost his job because of it. It had to be either the big Detroit riots in the mid 60's or a smaller one in the mid 70's. He didn't say which one but he looked old enough, mid to late 50's to have been an officer in his 20's in the mid 1960's.

I felt for him and I'm no righty. He seemed like a nice guy and to have had to get caught up in that whole thing where he may have just been trying to do his job seemed like a bad break for him. No pun intended. He may have gone overboard with it, we'll never know. So wondered if anyone knew or met someone who lost their job in the manner of the thread title.
