I have an older Everex Freestyle and i was suprised to learn that there was a linux port for the guy.

Has anyone had any luck with getting Linux to run on their PDA? Is it worth it? Are there any applications that are of use?

I also bought a Vtech Helio the other day... it seems Linux has been ported to this unit as well... I don't suppose anyone has tried doing this with their Helio have they?

I personally wouldn't mess with it. Unless it's a VERY highly tuned and customized implementation Linux just isn't suited for use w/ a PDA.

I'm thinking about putting pocket linux on my IPAQ, but I haven't researched it enough on how to do a FULL backup of everything, OS, files, progs. I won't do it until I'm sure I can get my exact config back. It looks pretty cool though. I'll try to find a link for the screenshots of pocketlinux on an ipaq.
