I'll be heading there for spring break in a couple weeks, just wondering if there's anything I should be sure to check out (besides the beaches)

You could always check out the shuffleboard courts, the all-you-can-eat buffets, and golf. If you're under 85 y.o., there's not a lot of interesting stuff IMO.

I guess it's not that bad near the beaches, but that town mostly caters to the retirees.

Crap, that's a long drive, like 5-6 hours. Not worth it, you can go to South Beach in a lot less time.

I live in Orlando right now. I know my mom used to live in Naples a long time ago. A piece of advice, stay away from old people towns. Go to Miami or some of the west coast beaches. Miami if you want to see hot chics in itty bitty bikinis. Daytona beach is nice too. Even Orlando has some nice clubs, theme parks and young people because of the university. And KSC is boring as hell, unless you totally dig boring aeronautical space exhibits. The only thing cool would be to go see a shuttle launch but I don't think that is happening anytime soon. Enjoy your Sping Break!
