Anyone live around the Dunedin,FL (close to Tampa) area?

So I have to go with my SO to see her family down there for my 4th of July week off and dunno what all I should do while there. Her family of course will prolly show me around a few places but anything good to check out while I'm there?

Any good bars around Tampa or vicinity? Anything I have to go see while im down? Any particular beach I should make it too?

Any words of wisdom would be great!

Tarpon Springs is a nice area. Go to the sponge docks.

Clearwater Beach is the big commercial beach, but nice to see and walk around. Fort DeSoto beach is the one I like the most. The Don Cesar is a nice hotel down near St. Pete Beach.

Busch Gardens is a theme park with really nice roller coasters.

Ybor City for bars and night life.

Dunedin is right next to Clearwater, so you'll never have a dull moment. Head to the barrier island and you'll find bars and clubs all up and down the road.

If you feel like making the drive over the bridges (5 miles,) past Tampa (10 miles) and into Ybor it may be worth the drive, but if you drink to much it'll be a hell of a drive back. 🙂

If you do go to Ybor City, check out the Tampa Bay Brewing Company.

It's the unofficial hangout of TTB and we may actually meet up there on the 4th (to kick off a big party we'll have back at Melmac's place in Brandon.)
