I'm interested in moving there someday (I can't imagine buying a house where I am now - Boston). Everyone says the job market sucks there but isn't that true of everywhere?

Any companies there hiring software engineers now?

Got a clearance?
I've heard that some of the defense contractors in Denver & the Springs are still hiring.

I've seen a number of software jobs posted lately, but you need secret or better to be considered.

I'm in Colorado Springs, too, if you have any questions the others haven't answered.

Job market in CO Springs SUCKS ASS.
Unless you are SUPER qualified for your job, forget about IT (jobs few and far between from failing companies), teaching (HUGE surplus of teachers, not enough schools), airlines (self explanatory), but yes, the government and its contractors are always hiring.
