Anyone listen to the band Yellowcard?

They are pretty talented... I really like the violin + punk rock combo. Can't wait to see them on Warped Tour. :beer:

Their new album is awesome... I had my doubts about it, but it is awesome.
Some of the people in my band are friends with them... they are originally from Jacksonville Florida.
I'm happy they are doing so well. its awesome to see people you know make it big.

Yeah I think they're better than Simple Plan, b/c they can work the violin angle on some really slow songs which makes them pretty versatile (good example would be "Empty Apartment")... although most of their songs are upbeat, high energy. Sort of like Blink182, but more serious yet unique sound.

That sound like all the other whining punk bands, i'm with InstincT. I've heard most of "Ocean Avenue", and the violin is unique, but the vocals and guitar riffs are total Simple Plan/Blink182/all the other bands like them.

but i was just saying specifically...it's a fiddle. isn't a fiddle slightly different from a regular violin?
