Anyone listen to or hear Johnny Cash's Version of NIN's song "Hurt"

Just watched the music video of this. Pretty well done IMHO. Video shows a lil bit more emotion.

What's coolest about him is that he did those covers to bring attention and show respect to modern artists which he felt were being unfairly treated by older people. He said he found much artistic merit in new music and wanted to bring it to people who otherwise wouldn't listen to it. Very cool man.

That song is awesome. I really don't like when he tries to be "hip" and covers modern songs (what next, Tool?), but his original work is just brilliant. Sadly the new record only has 3 originals.

But, he does do a kick-ass job on Sting's "Hung My Head." Anybody who can make Sting sound good has got be a genius.

I just respect the hell out of anyone that age, and from such a different genre of music doing covers of Soundgarden and NIN...

I saw the video the other morning. I can't say I much cared for his singing, ever. But, especially not on this cover of NIN. It's just too slow and the phrasing seems off. Just my opinion.
