Anyone listen to music on headphones while going to sleep?

Over the past few days I've been listening to a playlist of MP3s when I goto sleep, and I've noticed something weird when I listen to the song the next day or later on...It just doesn't sound the same anymore.

I don't know if I'm just effed up, but it seems like the songs slow down - I don't know what it is, but they don't sound the same anymore. I noticed it when I was listening to CD's while going to sleep awhile ago, but it's started up again, and I have no clue wtf is going on...

Any ideas or am I just crazy?

I wouldn't be able to fall asleep while listening to music. What kind of songs are you listening to?

Also, do you just stretch your headphone cord to your bed or what?

I've got a female/female coupler thing and a male/male extender cord...just for times like this! :D

Anyways, lately the playlist's been only a few songs: Foo Fighters - Everlong KROQ Acoustic, Disturbed - Darkness, Evanescence - My Immortal.

They just don't sound the same when listening to em once I've woken up...they sound slowed down..

I listen to music before bed, but if your senses are screwing with you that means it's time for sleep, not for music.

I fall asleep listening to music on my headphones all the time and I don't have any problems with the music sounding different. Is your playlist on repeat? I bet that would fvck with your mind if you heard the same song over and over while you were sleeping

not on headphones.. that tends to be BAD FOR YOUR EARS from an entire night.
I put music on really low sometimes on my computer speaks and just let it play.

Yeah, I do listen to it on repeat, but the volume's way low, and I usually wake up 2-3 times during the night and have to put the headphones back on since they fall off.

You'd figure I'd just toss em on the floor and go back to sleep, but I like listening to her voice while I'm trying to sleep! :D

How many songs are on your playlist? Maybe you should make your playlist a bit longer and turn repeat off, listening to the same stuff constantly while you are sleeping can't be good.
I just bring my portable CD player to bed and when the cd is done it automatically turns itself off

lmfao...girlfriend...i wish! more like lead singer of evanescence! :( (*cough* sig...bumps appreciated *cough*)

Anyways, the playlist is only 3-5 songs, but I'm trying to figure out WHY it can't be good for me, and WHY it effs with my head.

I'd be using my discman if it wasn't at home...

No your not crazy, and if you are you've got company. Same thing here, including the falling asleep to MP3s.

I used to think I was kinda off the wall, because of that exact same feeling. I still wish I knew why though......

i often listen to music as i lie in bed before i sleep, but i always turn it off and take the headphones off before i actually conk out. i love the way the music sounds when you're right on the cusp of sleep, or even into your first stage. it's the closest you can get to certain *ahem* substances without actually using them.

Those 4 songs have probably permanently imprinted themselves in your subconscious by now

My bro used to do this all the time. He never told me of any particular effects of what he was doing.
