Anyone listen to Green Day?

I just started listening to their old albums, "Dookie" and "Insomniac" albums, and they kick ass. I used to be a huge fan until high school. I love this stuff.

Anyone have recommendations for one of their newer albums? I'm willing to shell out some cash for a new one.

They are all good.

I have been a huge Green Day fan for years. I saw them open for Bad Religion in '93. 😀

I listen to greenday myself. To tell you the truth, their earlier stuff is better. I wasn't a big fan of their latest cd (warning). However, Nimrod is also a good cd, as well as their first who's name I can't remember offhand(kerplunk?...not sure, but that may have been the second).

My first concert was Green Day at a small club in 95, so they will always hold a special place in my heart. 😛

I tend to like their old stuff like Kerplunk and Dookie, after Nimrod came out I lost interest but just because I started liking other types of music.

I did, when I was 14... 🙂 In all seriousness, I actually still enjoy listening to them from time to time. I have nimrod and dookie (probably their best, imho)

I love Green Day because they're very light spirited (generally) and just fun to listen to if you don't want something "serious."

I really like Dookie and Kerplunk, but I find myself listening to the International Superhits album especially for Minority. That song kicks all sorts of ass.

Same here.

Their first 3 albums IMO were great; 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, Kerplunk and Dookie
But I didn't really appreciate Nimrod and Warning. Their sound changed completely. It didn't pique my interest anymore after Nimrod.

They definitely changed their sound for Warning, but its still amazingly good. Those guys are still amazing songwriters, they just left the sugar-pop-punk stuff to their followers (Blink, etc.). I'd say that Warning is their 2nd best CD, after Dookie.

I really like Green Day also... Time of your life, when i come around, waiting, minority a few of my favorite songs.

I used to. Last CD I got by them was Nimrod. Its pretty good, but the older CDs are better.

Haven't listened to much off Warning.
