Anyone listen to Bruce Springsteen's album, The Rising

so a little blurb on it on tv. some of the samples they played of it sound really good. thinking of getting the cd. anyone have it? what do you think?

Delightfully mediocre, in my opinion. But, that's kinda how I feel about most Springsteen, so, I'm not best person to ask really.

If I thought it sucked, I would have said I thought it sucked. If I liked it, I would have said I liked it. But I was just in between. Feel better now that I've cleared things up for you?

"Mediocre" is an excellent description. The Rising certainly doesn't justify all "The Boss is Back!" hype and it doesn't hold a candle to some of his early work with the E Street Band.

I thought it was mediocre at best. I couldn't believe this was the E street band. What the hell happened? Oh well, there's always his older stuff which still kicks ass.
