Yeah definitely... RHP are great. I doubt you'll find many people who've heard of them. The biggest exposure they've ever gotten was the updated version of "Have You Forgotten" on the Vanilla Sky OST. A fun tidbit--Mark Kozelek (the man behind RHP) played the bassist from Stillwater in the movie "Almost Famous". He and Cameron Crowe are friends (which is how "Have You Forgotten" ended up on the VS Soundtrack).

"Songs for a Blue Guitar" is a good CD--definitely more rock-tinged than their other releases... it also really only features Mark. But apparently it's the album that got RHP in trouble with 4AD, the record label. Mark has a couple of guitar solos on there that drone on pretty long, and the label and him had a huge fight over it--resulting in 4AD dropping the band.

RHP have actually broken up and Mark Kozelek does solo stuff now--check it out it's basically the same as his RHP songs (it becomes obvious that the group was mainly his venue).

He's a master singer/songwriter--his lyrics are very poignant and he writes with a lot of emotion. "Have You Forgotten" is a great example of this. It's a beautiful song.

If you're interested in checking out other RHP albums, look for the Self-Titled "Rollercoaster" CD and "Ocean Beach". Both highly recommended.
