I really enjoyed the movie and the music in that film. I thought it was extremely well done.

I'm asking because I want to get the DVD, but was wondering if it was worth getting the special 2 disc "Bootleg Cut" version of it.

Opinions?

there's nothing better than that scene where they all bust into Elton John's "Tiny Dancer"

I liked the scene on the airplane when they all thought they were going to die. I thought it was a great movie, but I don't think I would ever buy the DVD.

In an interview with Cameron Crow, he says that Stillwater is a culmination of Zeppelin and Allman Brothers... with a little Skynard and Eagles in there.

I think it's fascinating that he actually lived the life of the young boy in that movie.

I made up my mind, I want to hear him talk about it. :)

The "bootleg" cut if it is good. If you liked the original you will like the bootleg cut better. it filled in a few more details that were missing in the original.

I have the bootleg version. It is worth the extra bucks IMO. There are many extra scenes to see and additional commentary.
One of my favorite movies.:)
