Anyone like planes but find flight simulators boring?

I would consider myself a pretty big fan of planes and helicopters. I've built numerous model kits of them throughout the year and I currently have 2 heli kits that I haven't even started on yet.

I've also bought numerous titles from the days of the Jane's series to the more modern Lock On but always had the problem of getting bored quickly. I'll play a new game a few times and it goes on the shelf. Never really touched the MP side of them either.

I love cars and racing games too but I'll finish the game unlike the flight sims.

Model Kits != knowing how to fly them.

I like flight sims. Learning to fly a Cessna was a blast on the computer especially when you learn what each and every gauge does and follow established flying protocol. Had some pretty bad crashes in there though. Landing is a major pain in the ass/

I enjoy flight sims, but not hard core simulators. Mostly because of lack of time and gear (sticks and stuff) to make it more fun and worthwhile.
