Greetings~!

I bought it for 3 weeks. I am currently confused with PC2PC after reading your manual. I tried to set it up...but it's not working. Let me tell you what I did and then, you tell me what is wrong.

1. I have Compaq Notebook with USB DSL modem attached to it.
2. The MSI K7 266 motherboard is on other desktop computer.
3. I install GeneLink LAN driver on my Compaq Notebook.
4. I install GeneLink on my MSI desktop. (with Software Router)

The result:

I delete Nebui Protocal from network neighboard hood( property) for both computers. ( Personally, I do not like nebui protocal).

I have TCP/IP protocal and IPX/SPX protocal in GeneLink for both computer. IP is automatically set.

ON both computer, both of them can see each other in network neighborhood. I click them and see my shared drive.

The Problem is that I can't share the internet access.

Also, while I am connecting my DSL internet on my notebook. My desktop can't browse internet which can't share the internet access from my notebook.

Tell me what is wrong...and tell me what should I do.

I never had the chance to fiddle around with the PC2PC networking, but you can be sure to receive some help at MSI Hardware. There are many k7t266 pro users on the boards that will be able to help you out. Good luck.

I have the board, but don't use the PC to PC capabilities of it however. From what I know of your situation, you have everything working correctly, but you need to get your hands on some internet sharing software. Establishing a working network doesn't necessarily mean that internet access is shared. Your laptop that is hooked to your DSL connection needs to work like a router and assign a dummy IP address to you MSI based machine. Search shareware for internet sharing software. Otherwise, get a router and hub, or a multiple port router and share access and network that way.
