So I'm trying to load up serious sam the second encounter for some co-op action with a friend. When I loaded it, even the menu is stuttering. Its fine for about five seconds then hitches. The game itself is unplayable.

I have a comp over qualified for this game (e6400, 8800 gts, 2gb) so I have no idea whats going on. Can anyone help me play this awesome game?

Ok I fixed it, it was because I have a dual core system. I turned one of them off for the process and it works fine now.

I remember reading an article somewhere that indicated Serious Sam 2 was one of the first games ever produced that would take advantage of two cores. I guess not!

I was mostly checking out this thread to see what kind of horrible computer you had, as I used to run it on my EMachine PIII 600 with an 8mb NVidia Vanta card just fine :)

Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam: Second Encounter are NOT the same game.

Serious Sam 2 runs great on dual core systems
