Anyone know why its called welcome home (sanitarium)?

Im doing a presentation on this song, and analyzing it for its poetic elements. I know one of the questions im gonna get is why it has welcome home in parantheses in front of the word sanitarium. Appreciate it dudes, and i really appreciate any other info. you guys have pertaining to this song.

"Welcome home" is at home within the parentheses. They form a little house around the letters.

I'm guessing that Welcome Home is the (meaningful) title they wanted to give the song, but Sanitarium is a name people would identify more with the song. Ever hear the name of a song and not know what it is, then you hear the song and realize it?

Mugs is correct. Parenthetical titles were historically implemented for radio DJs to identify songs based on what callers think the title might have been ("I wanna hear that, uh, 'sanitarium' song, you know the one").

Nice. I ended up getting my Ministry & Metallica albums from home & ripping them to my work computer today...plus my Type O Negative albums. My coworkers definately think I'm really odd now.

I never really got into Danzig. At least we agree on Type O
