I saw a lot of PNY, Viking, Kingston memories made by this chipset in Bestbuy, Compusa, etc. Anyone know who manufactured this memory chip, doesn't looks like Samsung, Nanya, or Winbond to me. The reason I am asking is that I just got two stick of 512MB pc2100 of this memory from STAPLES, hope to know more about its overclock ability.

Thanks, Guys.

Yes, I understand it is a Viking memory, but I am asking for the chip maker of the memory module. Viking only rebadged OEM memories. If you take a close look at the picture, you will see it is marked with a big "S" on each module. I have trouble to identify this chip manufacture. Thanks again if anyone can help me. 🙂

Budman, You are brilliant, it is SPECTEK.

Sadly, never heard of them before. Did anyone use this type of memory before, do they overclock good? I will assume not unless I heard otherwise, Thanks. 🙁

Edit:
just read this off the website Budman linked,

SpecTek is a part of the Micron Technology family of companies, a business group recognized worldwide as leaders in memory technology. This strategic relationship enables us to provide superior products and extraordinary service.

So, it shouldn't be too bad, right ?
