Like the Title says, "Anyone know where to get cheap Cat5 cable!"

I heard there are a few sites who sell cat5 cables for cheap. Since I am in the market I will be looking for 4-6 cables and size doesn't matter. I am not looking for someone who is selling these on AT forums(although it would be easier) but I am just looking for a link.

Thanks,

Mitch

The cheapest way to go is making your own. Go to your local electronics store, buy the cable for around $0.04 a foot, the RJ-45 plugs for $0.99 for 8, and a RJ-45 crimper tool for as low as $11. If you are constantly making these, you can save a lot of money. On average you can make a 25' Cat5(e) cable, even with jack boots, for around $1.20.

Check This Site for Pinout Diagrams, and HOW-TO

As for a site that sells cheap cables, that's really a double edged sword. Yes, you could find cables dirt cheap, but how far is it, and how much will shipping be?
