Macs ain't cheap :( You should keep an eye open at dealmac.com They have good deals on used macs a lot. For anything that runs OS X decently, well it'll be near a grand probably

What exactly do you plan on doing with the Mac?
What's the minimum specs you need (processor speed, RAM, hard drive, CD, NIC)?
What's your budget?

Something that will run on a high speed (gigabit) network card, a powerMac for sure, g3 or g4, been on Egay, going for around 4-500 bucks, But i dont really trust E\ay products..

i know in good ol' RUTGERS here in NJ, they have a surplus store where they sell some older stuff that will otherwise be junked. if u r located near a university, u could try there. but in most cases, stuff that makes it to the surplus store isn't gonna be too up to date. but if its cheap u want, that would definitly be the place.

You're title is misleading, it should be:

A used MAC, is that with mayo?

In any case they usually go through pretty quick.

Does it have to be a MAC though, you must have better taste.

Wont it just taste the same second time?

Here's some reputable businesses which have been around for several years and specialize in new, refurbished, remanufactured and used Macs:

Small Dog

MacResQ

Refurb Madness

Just make sure to buy only a PowerMac G3 or G4 whether it be an iMac, iBook, desktop or tower.

macs are great! they're basically unix machines without a variant of unix installed (except those that have osx).
