Anyone know where to find a white (edit pink) noise recording?

is there a difference?


We have a $5k machine that plays white (or pink?) noise at my office.. and it works great. You can't hear someone int he cubicle next to you. I figured it would work great for helping me sleep/

I had the operators tuned for "white noise"

I have presets or I can jog the dials on the console. To me brown noise is relaxing! And that's no $hit!

Brown noise sounds better, IMHO.

BTW, Ocean Wave recordings are great white noise loops. They're not as tedious as constant static, but get the job done

Sony's Sound Forge software is pretty nice. It can splice in / produce the white pink brown etc noises into projects. I find white noise comforting.

Also it has a frequency run-through. It begins just below the human auditory threshold and ends just above it. Good to test the range of your speakers (and your ears!). When it climbs to the high frequencies on loud speakers it can cause some pretty serious headaches.

It's sourceforge page.

I just downloaded the Windows version. If my speakers were working I'd give it a shot.
