does anyone know where to download a free mp3 ripper. what i want to do is take some of my cds i just bought and put them on my laptop in mp3 format, are there any that are free and are not disabled in some way cause they are freeware.

Search download.com for CDex. It's free, and a great cd ripper. You can rip from CD's to MP3 or WAV, and convert MP3's to WAV and vice versa.
