Anyone know where to buy the CT-479 from ASUS?

I have checked the asus website, and unless I missed it, I can't seem to see where I can buy this thing. Any help appreciated. I have a Pentium M 1.4 1MB Banias chip I can use for now until the prices on the Dothan I want comes into range. And also, what this adapter is supposed to retail for?

Thanks,
Keys

So what chip are you going to get with it...Will the 2ghz (400fsb) one make it to 2.5-2.7ghz...Can you run 400ddr with that???

I have two now 🙂 My first is running a 1.6 dothan at 2.25 and the second is a 1.5 banias currently running 12*166 for 2.0ghz. The dothan is limited by vcore (1.3v), I have modded the banias for an extra .1v by breaking of vid 3 pin on the chip so its now at 1.57v. Cant seem to get them upto 200fsb on my p4p800vm so I am stuck at 166 for the moment. both run cool at idle at 30c which rises to 45c under load. the supplied heatsink isnt brilliant but works OK and doesnt get warm to the touch which suggests its not conducting heat very well.

Huh? No. not o/c'ing at all. It will run with PC2100. I already have a 1.4GHz Banias I said I was going to use. It will be nice and cool, therefore quiet. It's probably equivalent in speed to a 2.0 or better P4. I intend to use the 1.4 in my mini studio in my house. Need quietnessssss.
I am interested in the 2.13 Dothan however, but it is a little cost prohibitive right now.
I can wait. I'm not one of those "OMG I have to have it now!!!" type of guys anyways.
All I need is the adapter and I'm good to go.

BTW, thank you for the links guys. I found one. Cheers 🙂

Their is only 5c difference between my banias @ standard and at 2.0 all with 1.58v - and you can still use pc2100 as a 266 mem setting is available. I turned the fan off and the temprature climbed very slowly, if you want quiet make sure you get a fan speed controller as the fan is high pitched

from what i read, the 533fsb chips are best because the mult is lower.

How are you setting up your microphones? My boss runs a studio and there's no way that the noise of the PC would ever get into any of his tracks. Unless you are recording ambient noise for some reason I see no point in worrying about this.

I have just vmodded my 1.6 dothan to 1.5v (from 1.34) and on the p4p800vm I can manage 2.4ghz but not much more. Still restricted to fsb lower than 166 as it locks the machine no matter what the multiplier is set to. Sandra reports it as 38watts at 2.4ghz. Look like a 1.6dothan@2.133 (i.e 133fsb) will be only around 30 watts as it can manage that at default vcore.
