Yep, but they ask for a "recommended donation". You don't need to pay it, but I just give them a dollar and receive a pin that gets the Met people to listen to me when I ask questions.

What's so funny about this is that they take Donations but they have a sign there that said Adults ~$6.95 or something higher so these tourist with a huge family shed out about ~$45-65 when they can all donate $1 each instead.

I usually go there and tell them I am a student and donate $1 or $2.

I usually pay whatever they're asking when I go...it's well worth the price and $5-6 isn't going to change anything. You can hardly buy a good drink with that money
