I'm basically trying to find a way to export Windows wireless profile out of one machine and import into another, so I can skip manually configuring each machine that needs wireless access to my network. Anyone have any ideas?
Use the Wireless Network Setup Wizard to configure the main computer. (needs to be WinXP SP2).
When it displays the "How do you want to set up your network?" page, select "Use a USB flash drive."
The Wireless Network Setup Wizard then prompts you to insert your USB Drive and creates XML of the wireless configuration, including the Network?s name, authentication, and encryption key if used.
You can plug this USB to other computers with Wireless Device.
Thanks man, but the network wizard only gives you the option to make VERY basic settings (we need to get a little more detailed). But just to give an update though, we're going the Group Policy route and it is working GREAT. We had to do a little tweaking on the server side (MS doesn't support our particular authenication method), and everything works GREAT now.
