Try the pound for puppies. Cuteness is usually a no-cost option

heck if you want a pug my in-laws breed them. i also get one puppy from each litter! wohoo! i think they sale them for $600 each

i would look in your local paper, usually people post classifieds for puppies. or you can find a breeder in your area but they are usually more expensive.

Definitely the paper. My dad bought our dog many years ago for $30 from an ad in the paper. She's a golden retriever/yellow lab mix, both parents were purebreds.

Oh, and think a little bit about the environment you can provide for a dog before you buy one. "small white furry puppy" encompasses quite a few breeds with different needs.
