Anyone know where I can get an IO shield?

So I bought an Intel DP67BGB3 Open Box from Newegg at a significant savings but they didn't even include an io shield. I don't want to run my machine w/o one because it would get messed up pretty quick. Intel says they don't sell the part. Does anyone know where I can buy one? If not, I'll probably have to return this to Newegg and get a new motherboard. Thanks!

If the open box unit does not have one I think your chances of finding one being sold is zero if Intel themselves do not sell them separately. It is much easier if you were to return the board to Newegg and get a new unit that does come with an I/O shield.

Try on ebay, I/O Shield will bring up pages. Found a shield for a Biostar P35D3.
Still looking for an Asrock 870 Extreme3.
There are a couple stes on google (whatever) patience needed.

Could you elaborate a little on this assertion? I wonder if a piece of heavy aluminum foil - the heavy-duty stuff that some commercial establishments use to seal meals to go - and some time with an X-Acto knife might be good enough to satisfy the requirements.

you dont really need an i/o shield. i mean the board is grounded through the case usually through the screws. its ugly though.

i've been running without them for years. i suppose it might help ground the audio ports and prevent hissing/buzzing.

Intel used to sell replacement shields for its retail boards. I'll try to find the link.

You will end up with dust inside of your case regardless of whether or not you have an IO shield really.

Thanks. I did email Intel and they said they don't sell it. I ended up RMAing the board and ordering the Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z.
