Im looking for one for a 4.7liter v8. I need to get this because of this summertime heat here in VA. Killing my gas mileage and this will improve performance too. Im looking for one that actually mounts directly to the air manifold on top of the motor. Not one that cools the engine compartment. Thanks!

I hate to break it to you, but it's not going to help your mileage or performance very much. DEFINITELY not enough to make up the cost.
If you want better gas mileage, spend the $700 on a beater for your daily driver, and use the truck when you need to haul stuff.

Rice? Not rice here chicka.... this is pure bread american blood here. My truck was made in the usa. As for ram air hoods.... they do add gas saving and they do move the power band up instead of being low. I have a v8... not a 4 banger. I have the power....
