I'm installing new tail light covers and light sockets in my Ram, but the old wires are an effin mess. What I'm looking for is either a general how-to on the subject, or more specifically, something for that year (or close...there all pretty much the same lol) to tell me what wire do what. Any help is appreciated...thanks!

if you need anything else I most likely have it so just send me a pm

Hey...I tried sending you a PM but it says you have them disabled, so here's what would have been in it:

Thanks for the pic of the wiring diagram's.

I'm not sure if what I want is in there, though...I'm not the best at deciphering those :S

All I'm really looking for is what color wire is what on the tail lights and if I need to wire anything in a circuit or anything like that. My dad and I spent the better part of Saturday trying to figure it out, but made no real progress...

Anything you could offer would be greatly appreciated 🙂

well I don't quite know what you are planning on wiring in the circuit but on the tail light is 3 wires, black is a common ground shared by all the lights in the back of the car, the green wire is hooked up to the brake switch and the green with white tracer goes all over the place, its too hard to follow it on my computer but I would have to print it out for you but it looks like it runs to all your exterior light and to you light switch for your running lights at night. I am so glad that they no longer use those kind of wiring diagrams anymore, the new ones are so much easier to read. ill try to figure out my pm issue and if you need anymore help i will try my best.
