Okay, I took the cam with me again and this time I was more in the centre. However this are pictures from the street, this is not a museum guide
Edit: Links fixed
Again the view from my window, this time you can see Mount Uetliberg with the TV tower and the lookout tower.
16 Heading towards the center (I'm on my bike as I take this shots)
The Sihl gets pumped through the Main Station. (National museum in the background)
Entrance of the Main Station
An older tram coming from Station Street
Station Street with its new Christmas decoration, glowing bars
Main Station and National Museum again
Limmat River, view towards Lake Zurich
A tram stop with chocolate advertisements. During WWII, Zurich's biggest bunker for civilians was here.
Inside the university. They turn the whole thing into a construction site...
Back entrance of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. A professor from here was the first to administrate the Swiss top level domain .ch.
View from the Polyterrasse. You can see some of the very few skyscrappers of Zurich...
...the observatory and Mount Uetliberg...
29 ...and some churches in the old part of town.
Main entrance of the main building of the university.
The red "Polybahn" connects Main Station and the Federal Institute of Technology.
Inside the Main Station. The clock cube is the meeting point.
Timetable.
This stagecoach was in use in the Alps. It now is at the entrance of the National Museum, near some cannons.
A wing of the National Museum building.
Behind the museum is the Platzspitz, a nice park in the center of Zurich.
Ten years ago, this was the famous "Needle Park" with many Heroin addicts. It's now completely safe to go there but obviously it's not very crowded when it's 0° C cold.
The towers of Saint Peter's church and Grossmünster.
The observatory is also open to the public and has a cafe inside.
The Lindenhof was a Roman fort and now is a lookout point with a park in the center of Zurich.
A narrow alley in the center.
St Peter's church has one of the biggest clockfaces in Europe. Its diameter is nearly 10 meters.
Parliament house of the city and the canton. World's first heat pump was installed here.
The towers of Fraumünster Church.
View towards Lake Zurich, with a circus.
In the winter you encounter chestnut stands in the city.
St. Peter and the Limmat, again.
The Water Church. According to the legend, the three city Saints of Zurich died here.
Grossmünster Church and a statue of an important mayor from the 14th century.
The opera and the meadow, where the traditional "Sechseläuten" takes place each spring (burning a snowman at the stake and members of the historical trade guilds riding around it)
The bigger ships aren't on Lake Zurich at the moment.
The lake promenade surely looks novemberish.
Svcks to be not a migratory bird, eh
The flower clock at Lake Zurich.
It's not allowed but people place their bikes everywhere anyway.
You'll see clocks everywhere you go.
You can make your own beeswax candles at Burkliplatz.
Like clocks, you'll often see drinking water wells and one way street signs
Showcase of a Sprüngli shop, one of the more classy places to buy chocolate.
The two big banks of Switzerland both have a house at the Bürkliplatz...
...which is at the Bahnhofstrasse.
Now we're leaving the centre. A decorated house.
Here comes the rush hour... In the background is one of the three public indoor swimming pools of Zurich. However the Alpamare, 30 minutes from the city, is more entertaining with its slides.
