Anyone know when SP2 will be out for WIN2k

I have an Athlon and an NVidia GeForce 2 and I therefore am unable to play games in Win2k. I know the patch is out there and I haven't tried it, but was wondering if it would really hurt my gaming performance that much? If it will, I'll just put win98SE on again and wait for SP2 otherwise I'll go ahead and put win2k on along with the AMD patch.
