Anyone know what would cause THIS.....?

Madden 2003, my orig. cd is lost somewhere, and I've used a no-cd patch for the past year or so playing it. All of a sudden, the icon on desktop, "launch.exe" from the madden directory, etc, DO NOT RUN. That is, I double click them, press "ENTER" on the .exe's, nothing works, it just won't RUN.

Anyone know what this is a result of or how to change it?
I've never seen a .exe that does absolutely nothing when you double click it....

Maybe the fact that he mentioned losing his original CD has something to do with him not reinstalling it...lol

Does it load then crash back to the desktop? If that is the case then just rename the madden 2003 folder in my document and it should work. <------ This is what Ea told me to do
 
Nope, doesn't load at all. All it does is when I double click it, NOTHING happens. Absolutely nothing...And these are the executables......
