Anyone know what UPS: Exception means?

When i check the status of my shipment, i see:

"Status: Exception "

Uhhh, any idea?

apparently your package has BSOD'd

bad programming in Java. hehe, just kidding.. it may mean they attempted to deliver but couldnt for some reason. I think that happened to me once

It means that something happened to delay the delivery of the package. It could be anything... I get them alot. Most of the time, either the person wasn't there to sign for the package, or the UPS guy couldn't find the address. It happens alot with apartment complexes. Sometimes they need a code to get into the complex, so they can't deliver it. Your tracking number should say exactly what happened.

It just got picked up from the amazon warehouse about 3 hours ago
