its a older friend of mine, it doesnt hurt, be glad I didnt use my dslr to take a pic.

its like blood pooling under the skin.
 
Looks like a bruise. My grandma had one like that when she hit her leg on something. It cleared up, but it looked horrible until then.

Getting old is a bitch. Skin is much more thin and easy to break. Blood vessels and capillaries are much, more brittle than when you are younger and they are easy to burst. And combine that with drugs that keep your blood from clogging up and bruises are very easy to happen, and very nasty looking when they do.
 
Looks like every old person on Maui... By the time they hit 80 they all look like a giant melanoma.


Oh... and just because I'm curious. It looks like that person is in the hospital or some other medical facility soooo... what does the doctor say it is?
