Anyone know what time of the day is best to reach Amazon CS in the US?

I know it can be done as I've called (or should I say have had them call me) and i've gotten on the phone with a rep in the US, but tonight all I am getting is India. They just seem to be having trouble understanding my issue and are directing me in circles - I've spoken to three different reps now. Normally I have no trouble with reps in India, but tonight there seems to be a language barrier that I can't penetrate.

Any idea what time is the best to call to get the US customer service dept? I tried the e-mail CS inquiry, but that was unhelpful unfortunately as well (they didn't understand my issue either)

My issue? (for those curious)

I purchased a Macbook from Amazon last week with a $75 rebate. The rebate form itself simply directs you to a website to do an online submission (there is no option to mail in the rebate instead). Problem is, the website asks for my order number and e-mail address, then says that my rebate is unavailable for processing.

Each time that I call (and the e-mail as well), they just keep e-mailing me the PDF rebate which directs me to the website, which won't let me proceed. Obviously, this cyclical process is getting me nowhere.

I figure I have a better shot of someone in the US understanding my issue.

The last call, she offered a $75 Amazon GC in leiu of the rebate.

Hmmm, immediate $75 Amazon GC or 8-10 weeks waiting for cash.
