Trolling through a network we manage for a client and I came across a machine with a connection open on port 1859, Gamma Fetcher Server.

Anyone know what the hell this is? I cant seem to find too much on it on Google.

almost anything can be programmed to run on any port
get the ip and either remote into it or find the box physically and get it checked out from the inside

Disclaimer: I know nothing about this stuff

But everything I saw on google seems to indicate that 1859 is "Gamma Fetcher Server" and I coldn't find anything negative associated with it.

According to Link there doesn't seem to be an exploit for that port.

But like I said... I know nothing. And I'm bored...
